The engineering features of the Baikal-Heilongjiang trunk line are that it is mostly in the Yongzong area, going through hundreds of kilometers of hard-to-reach marsh and tundra forests. In order to ensure traffic safety and the maximum capacity of the section, the trunk automatic device should be easy to use and highly reliable. The Ministry of Transport of the Soviet Union convened a meeting on the design scheme for reviewing the automatic devices, remote control devices and communications of the line. At the meeting put forward the design plan of railway transportation signal survey and design institute. It proposed eight communication circuit solutions for the Lower Angarsk Branch. It will be building a 5-6 floor communication and testing station with buildings, ground unattenuated stations will be used with the passenger or electrical centralized signal floor together.
