丰宁满族自治县虽位于塞北贫困山区,县医院却是河北省卫生系统首批“三星级文明窗口服务单位”。这荣誉的取得与年仅39岁的河北省政协委员、主任医师、现任县医院院长的于昌玉有着直接关系。1982年,时年20岁的于昌玉从承德医专毕业后,被分配到丰宁满族自治县医院从事外科临床工作。他在圆满完成临床任务的同时,潜心钻研业务。先后开展了12个系列近20个新项目的课题研究,荣获省、市科技进步成果奖15项。其中省部级科技成果4项。1993年8月,于昌玉被国务院批准享受政府特殊津贴。先后荣获全国少数民族地区杰
