慢化剂温度系数(MTC)是反应堆安全稳定运行的重要参数之一,定义为反应堆慢化剂的单位温度变化引起的反应性变化。负的慢化剂温度系数使反应堆具有内在的稳定性。该参数的测量是核电厂动力堆和研究堆启动和提升功率过程中必做的一项试验。目前常用的方法是控制棒补偿法和硼稀释法,它们都要对反应堆引入反应性扰动,再进行反应性补偿。
The moderator temperature coefficient (MTC) is one of the important parameters of the safe and stable operation of a reactor. It is defined as the change of reactivity caused by the unit temperature change of the reactor moderator. The negative moderator temperature coefficient gives the reactor inherent stability. The measurement of this parameter is a test that must be made in the process of starting up and raising the power of nuclear power plants and research reactors. At present, the commonly used methods are the control rod compensation method and the boron dilution method. All of them should introduce reactivity perturbation to the reactor and then carry out reactivity compensation.
