Although some non-aspirin non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have been noted for their side effects on the stomach, other possible side effects of these drugs are less often noted. In a multicenter case-control study of risk factors for chronic kidney disease in North Carolina, USA, the authors evaluated the relationship between chronic kidney disease and the regular use of NSAID as part of the study. Patients and Methods 554 patients were residents of North Carolina aged 30-79 years. They lived in hospitals from 1980 to 1982 and were discharged as chronic renal insufficiency with serum creatinine levels ≥130 μmol / L (1.5 mg / dL). A total of 516 control subjects, some of which are within 65 years of age, are randomly selected by telephone number, the other part of the age of 65 years of age, by participating in the medical insurance list
