Recently, several influential business leaders from Chinese micro-blogging industry gathered in Dubai. We invite them to share insights on the power of social media. When Ren Zhiqiang, the president of Beijing Huayuan Group, the Chinese real estate tycoon who was nicknamed ”any artillery“ by the netizens, toured and published eight blog posts for his first visit to Dubai in 2007. Seven years later, he once again sent microblogs to China from the Pearl of the Desert in the Middle East. However, the number of current Chinese netizens is much more than that of seven years ago: the number of monthly active users in Sina Weibo reaches 130 million. Ren Zhiqiang himself has as many as 2000 Wan fans. Ren Zhiqiang said: ”social media is a good application platform that can help expand the personal influence of business and entrepreneurs, but also to help others learn.
