白金是一稀有之物,乃属高级性之压延性金属,为五金工厂理化室金属化验不可缺少之仪器,坩锅及精细之量等用,其熔化点颇高熔制非易,现我厂技督科万隆昌同志积极钻研,以氧乙炔熖熔融废白金制成金坩锅,现已成功,不仅解决了生产供应,而且暂时克服了一时市面缺货(外来品)故已将其熔制操作过程简要总述以供参考。(1)取用白金比重为21.38,熔化点为1750℃以上,(冷至500℃时即任其自然冷却)如用王水熔解电离或氢氧吹管熔炼则设备困难,易外无白的化合物作熔媒,因此不可能。(2)根据氧乙炔熖的原理及白金的特性利用镁砖或炭精作熔埚(如图 1,2),用15—18号焊嘴熔
