在一般的情况下,公路小桥涵工程的投资约占整个线路工程造价的10~15%左右。如果没有综合考虑,合理布置,往往不是增加投资,就是排洪不好,造成水害,影响正常营运,对养护工作及农田排灌不利。山区公路小桥涵位置的确定,与平原区不尽相同。由于山区具有水系明显且多、山洪暴发历时短、流速快、纵向起伏大、横向坡度陡、一般地质较稳定等特点;因此要根据达些特点,结合地形、地质、水文条件,慎重地选择。使桥涵位置与孔径,既能保证水流畅通、安全宣洩;又使桥涵造价最小,达到经济合理,不留后患的目的。
