Resistively heated micro-bridges addressable, mosaic array devices that provide the potential for accurate, dynamic exploration and projection of infrared imaging. The primary purpose of this imaging is to evaluate various infrared instruments ranging from auto-finder to forward-looking infrared. Due to the increasing cost of low-cost, un-cooled infrared imagers, field-background projectors (projectors) also offer great potential for dynamic testing of these new instruments. In the past few years, we have introduced the development and development of a variety of infrared projector systems designed for a variety of purposes; this article describes the latest advances in these technologies with the goal of improving or understanding their transient performance and radiation performance.
