本文从文化自觉的视角对回族历史上经堂教育、汉文译著活动和近代回族穆斯林新文化运动的兴起及其对回族社会文化变迁的推动作用进行了初步分析。作者认为,经堂教育的创建、汉文译著活动的开展以及近代回族穆斯林新文化运动的兴起是回族历史上的三次文化自觉;回族知识分子历来是文化反思、文化自觉和文化革新实践的主体;回族历史上的每一次文化自觉都会给回族社会注入新的活力,把回族文化推向一个新的发展高度。在全球化和现代化进程中,回族社会既面临新的发展机遇,也面临着一些新问题。从理论上正确解答这些问题并寻找解决问题的良策是当代回族知识分子责无旁贷的历史使命。
This article makes a preliminary analysis of the rise of the Jingtang education in the history of the Hui nationality, the translation of Chinese into the Muslims, and the rise of the Moslem Muslim New Culture Movement in the modern Hui nationality as well as their impetus to the social and cultural changes of the Hui people. The author believes that the establishment of the institution of education in the temple, the initiation of the Chinese translation and the rise of the Muslim new culture movement in the modern history are the three cultural consciousnesses in the Hui history. The Hui intellectuals have always been the subject of cultural reflection, cultural awareness and cultural innovation. Every cultural consciousness in the history of the Hui will inject new vitality into the Hui society and push the Hui culture to a new height. In the process of globalization and modernization, the Hui community faces both new opportunities for development and some new problems. It is the unshirkable historic mission of contemporary Hui intellectuals to correctly answer these questions theoretically and find good solutions to the problems.
