Foreign news reports Boston, USA: According to a report by scientists, studies in rats suggest that the majority of birth defects occur during the first 10 days of pregnancy. As a result, they warned women that partial eclipse, medication, and exposure to contaminants should be avoided during this period. Dr Norbert Freinkel, an endocrinologist at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, said: “Fetal and cerebrovascular defects can be caused by mild metabolic disturbances during the first 18-28 days of pregnancy. Freinkel and colleagues report on ”New Engl J Med," that in a rat embryo experiment, mild metabolic changes caused neural tube defects. Neural tubes form the primary structure of the brain and spinal cord early in the embryo. Freinkel believes that this finding also applies to humans. Neural tube defects lead to anencephaly (missing brain parts
