本研究分析了视频的语速、类型以及受试的特定词汇知识对其视听难易度感知和实际理解情况的影响。71名正在国内某高校修读大学英语课程的一年级学生观看了以不同语速播放的三段新闻和三段演讲,并完成相应的视听理解练习和问卷调查。结果表明,语速变化(140wpm,166-170wpm,195wpm)会影响难易度感知,但不会显著影响视听理解;视频类型(新闻vs.演讲)会对视听理解和难易度感知产生显著效应;生词率与视听理解、难易度感知都显著相关。笔者分析讨论了上述研究结果,并对外语教学中视频材料的选择提出了相关建议。
This study analyzes the impact of the rate of speech, the type of video, and the specific vocabulary knowledge of the test on the perceived and visually perceived difficulty of audio-visual reproduction. 71 first-grade students who were studying for college English at a domestic university watched three news articles and three speeches broadcast at different speeds and completed corresponding audio-visual comprehension exercises and questionnaires. The results showed that the rate of speech change (140wpm, 166-170wpm, 195wpm) affected the difficulty perception, but did not significantly affect audiovisual comprehension; video type (news vs. speech) had a significant effect on audiovisual comprehension and difficulty perception There was a significant correlation between birth rate and audiovisual comprehension and difficulty perception. The author analyzes and discusses the above research results, and makes some suggestions on the choice of video materials in foreign language teaching.
