为了使各级领导和广大林业干部职工充分认识到,搞好森林病虫害防治工作对于确保林业六大工程顺利实施,实现新世纪林业跨越式战略目标,促进国民经济和社会可持续发展的重要意义,从而使森防工作进一步得到全社会的普遍重视,提高全民的森防意识,省林业厅决定于8月在全省范围广泛开展“森防宣传月”活动,通过这次活动,引起社会各界对森防工作的高度重视,使森林病虫害预防和除治工作由部门行为向政府行为、社会行为转变,有效遏制森林病虫害特别是危险性
