对地处塔克拉玛干沙漠腹地咸水滴灌条件下不同林龄、不同立地条件的公路防护林体系内的根系分布规律进行研究.根系采集采用株侧分离根系的土柱法.研究结果表明:(1)土壤质地不同,根系分布存在较大差异,在板结沙地,根系主要集中在0~40cm土层中,在平沙地和沙垄地,植物根系分布深,其次是黏土地,在单位体积的土柱中,平沙地根系最多,其次是沙垄地和黏土地;(2)坡向不同,植物根系的分布存在差异,阳坡的根系总量大于阴坡的,且比阴坡的根系分布深,但毛根少于阴坡的;(3)随着林龄的增加,防护林根系总重量明显增加,在定植初期根系总重量增加明显,随着定植年限的增长,根系总重量增加幅度不断减少.
