40年前,就在中央戏剧学院前苏联专家任教的导演干部训练班和表演干部训练班行将结业之际,五位戏剧家:欧阳予倩、沙可夫、李伯钊、孙维世、欧阳山尊联名给周总理写信,倡议以两个干训班部分骨干为基础,建立一个示范性、实验性的国家话剧院。倡议得到周总理的支持,后经陈毅副总理批准,经过国务会议正式通过而宣告成立。出于对文艺事业的关怀,当年周总理几乎观看了中央实验话剧院建院后所有重要剧目。如《同甘共苦》、《革命的风 Forty years ago, five dramatists, Ouyang Yuqian, Shakoff, Li Bazhao, Sun Weisi and Ouyang Shanzun, gave a speech at the end of a series of directing cadre training courses and performing cadre training courses taught by former Soviet experts at the Central Academy of Drama. Premier Zhou wrote a letter calling for the establishment of an exemplary and experimental National Theater based on the backbone of two courses.
