Objective: To investigate the role of soluble interleukin 2 receptor (sIL-2R) in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS) and its clinical significance. Methods: The levels of sIL-2R in cerebrospinal fluid of 44 MS patients were detected by double antibody sandwich ELISA. Results: The level of sIL-2R in cerebrospinal fluid of MS group was significantly higher than that of normal control group. The level of sIL-2R in cerebrospinal fluid was closely related to the disease activity status and degree of disability in MS patients. Conclusion: T lymphocytes in MS patients are activated, and sIL-2R plays an important role in the pathogenesis of MS. Detection of sIL-2R in cerebrospinal fluid is of great clinical significance in judging the disease status and disease status of MS and guiding the treatment of MS.
