New poetry reading, especially professional reading of new poems, is increasingly important. The cracking of a century of new poems, “new and good” myths, the establishment of the legitimacy of new poems, the achievement of standard consensus of good poetry, the formation of the meaning of works and the development of readers’ interest are inseparable from the thoroughgoing and mature reading of new poems. Reading is really one of the internal essentials of the new poetic career. For decades, poets and scholars have been working hard in this field. In the 1930s and 1940s, Fei Ming, Li Jianwu, Zhu Guangqian and Zhu Ziqing started their professional reading of poems and practiced poems of “learning poems” [1]. Since the 1980s and 1990s, Sun Yushi edited Guided Reading of Modern Chinese Poetry (1917-1938), edited by Hong Zicheng, “Reading Poems in Peking University Classroom,” and Chen Zhongyi’s “Interpretation of Hundred Years of New Poems”
