论文梳理了欧洲华文媒体的发展历程、华文媒体的分布类型与华文新媒体的快速发展;探讨了华文媒体在跨文化传播中的作用。认为这种跨文化传播不仅将中华文化传播到当地华侨华人社会,更重要的是传播到欧洲主流社会,从而推动欧洲对中国的认知,增进中外文化的了解、交流和互信。在新媒体快速发展的今天,传统媒体面临严峻挑战,融合发展成为大势。华文媒体在强化其新闻性的同时,文化传播功能必将得到更多的体现,这是适应中国发展、讲好中国故事、促进文明互鉴的需要。
