菊苣为菊科属多年生宿根植物,原产欧洲,80年代引入我国。其根部粗壮形似萝卜,单根重1kg左右。叶期平均高度80cm,抽茎开花期高达200cm,叶片25～38片,叶片形似苦荬菜,长30～46cm,宽8～12cm。6月初开蓝色花朵,8月种子成熟,公顷产种子450～600kg,种子呈米黄色,千粒重0.96～1.2g。栽培技术 Chicory for Asteraceae is a perennial perennial plant, native to Europe, introduced to China in the 1980s.
