In 1956 and 1978, China had twice promulgated the principles concerning the organization of personnel in general hospitals. However, there is still no standard provision for the organization of township health centers. Because there is no unified rural township hospital organization regulations, it has hindered the development of rural medical and health services to a certain extent. This problem has become even more pronounced with the deepening of China’s rural economic and political system reforms. This article attempts to investigate the status quo and the workload of various types of medical personnel in suburban counties and townships in the suburbs of this Municipality to discuss the principles for the organization of township hospitals.
