主动网络是一种可编程的网络,用户可以对网络进行个性化的编程和设置。主动网络与传统的网络仅仅被动地传送字节流不同,它是“运行时刻可扩展的”。在主动网络体系结构中,可以快速动态地定制、配置新的网络服务和开发新的技术与协议,实现新的网络体系结构。加快了网络服务的革新步伐,提高了网络的性能,使得网络体系结构更灵活、更具有可扩张性。该文阐述了主动网络的产生背景、实现方案、体系结构和它的优点,并介绍了主动网络节点和主动网络路由器。
An active network is a programmable network where users can personalize their programming and settings.
