在70年代以前,对于反射镜天线,一般只注意其效率和副瓣,70年代开始提出频谱复用体制,要求有高极化纯度天线,交叉极化问题愈来愈引起人们重视。国外在整个70年代着力研究天线的交叉极化问题。在70年代后期,逐步弄清楚引起交叉极化的因索,并找到降低交叉极化途径,研制出各种高纯极化的天线。在国内,自70年代后期开始注意交叉极化问题,在理论上弄清楚了馈源系统各部件性能与天线交叉极化的量的关系,各种高质量元部件也正在研制中。使天线产生交叉极化的最主要因素是初级馈源的特性,因此Rudge博士以他和他的公司近几年的研究成果为中心内容,系统地介绍了初级馈源的交叉极化问题。受到人们的重视,引起热烈的讨论。现在就其主要内容作简要的评介。
