2000年7月，中国社会科学院考古研究所洛阳唐城队在配合洛阳市第三职业中专教学楼建设的考古发掘中，在距地表深2．8米的金元层发现叠放在一起的5枚元代铜令牌。该地位于隋唐洛阳城东城内。东城在隋唐宋时是重要的衙署所在地，金代属洛阳监，元代属河南府。该令牌可能与河南府有关。
