近代石油加工所起的化学反应絕大部分是催化反应,催化剂研究的重要性因此十分突出。我們首先复制成功或者改进了迭合、环化、重整、加氫、合成等类型的催化剂,性能一股都能达到国际水平。近年来,除了在催化剂的制备上不断的加以巩固和提高,通过大量的試驗,寻找合乎工业需要的各种催化剂外,还投入了一定的力量从事催化剂的基础研究,希望能逐步掌握选择催化剂的科学基本規律,从而摆脫迄今为止各国通用的經驗式的选择催化
