空腹重力坝在一定范围内能改变坝体应力重分布,并能较好的发挥材料强度和减少较多的扬压力,因而比一般重力坝可节约19%左右的工程量,但是坝踵拉应力较大,施工复杂,耗费木材较多。为了克服这些缺点,保留它的优点,本文特提出两种比较理想的新坝型——等控重力坝和新型空腹重力坝。一、重力坝要满足等控所需要的条件由图1按应力和稳定要求的坝底宽相等得下式:
