本文从历史反思角度出发,简要梳理了欧洲理性主义和神秘主义谱系以及它们各自在社会和政治生活中的态度,并以此分析了伊恩·麦克尤恩历史小说《黑犬》中的主要人物——伯纳德和琼——的性格特点,认为伯纳德对理性主义从崇拜到怀疑的转变是理性主义遭遇危机的现实反映,而琼信奉神秘主义是出于欧洲战后乱象的深度思考,作品生动地再现了战后欧洲人所经历的信仰冲突和生存危机,以及由此产生的厚重历史影响。
Based on the historical reflection, this essay briefly reviews the European rationalism and mysticism and their respective attitudes in social and political life, and analyzes the main characters in Ian McEwan’s historical novel The Black Dog - Bernard and Joan - personality traits, that Bernard’s change from rationalism worship to suspicion is a reflection of the crisis of rationalism reflects the reality, and Joan of Mysticism is out of the depths of European postwar chaos Thinking, the work vividly reproduces the conflicts of belief and survival crisis experienced by Europeans after the war as well as the heavy historical impact.
