本文立足认知语言学及隐喻理论基础之上,探讨英汉基本颜色词隐喻的相似及差异。各民族相同的生理机制和视觉神经系统,是相同颜色隐喻产生的原因,而不同的历史文化和社会习俗是其差异性产生的原因。本研究对克服跨文化交际中的语言障碍、翻译实践及语言学习都有重要的实际意义。 Based on the theories of cognitive linguistics and metaphor, this article explores the similarities and differences between English and Chinese basic color metaphors. The same physiological mechanism and visual nervous system of all ethnic groups are the causes of the same color metaphor, but different historical cultures and social customs are the causes of their differences. This study has important practical significance to overcome the language barriers, translation practice and language learning in cross-cultural communication.
