中国近现代史纲要(以下简称“纲要”)课要注重与毛泽东思想和中国特色社会主义理论体系概论(以下简称“概论”)课、高中历史课的衔接,避免部分内容的简单重复。教师要明确纲要课和概论课性质与功能的区别,在教学内容上要根据侧重点不同,在教学方法方式上处理好两门课的重合部分,做好有效衔接。纲要课相较于高中历史课,更注重逻辑和规律性的深入把握,更注重人文精神的培养,更注重政治导向,更注重学术性的提高,更要结合学生思想的实际。
