Objective To investigate the correlation between diabetic nephropathy and other complications of diabetes in Uygur type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods From March 2015 to March 2016, 558 Uighur type 2 diabetics diagnosed in a top three hospital in Urumqi, Xinjiang were collected. The clinical and biochemical indexes of type 2 diabetic patients were measured and their complications of diabetes mellitus were recorded. Chi-square test and multiple Logistic regression analysis was used to compare the association between diabetic nephropathy and other diabetic complications. Results Of the 558 Uighur type 2 diabetic patients, 155 had diabetic nephropathy, accounting for 27.8% of the total; 403 non-diabetic nephropathies, accounting for 72.2% of the total; 335 with the highest prevalence of hypertension, accounting for a total of Of the 60.0%; the lowest number of patients with cerebrovascular disease in 105 cases, accounting for 18.8% of the total number. By χ ~ 2 test found that diabetic nephropathy and diabetes with coronary heart disease, hypertension, retinopathy and peripheral neuropathy were significantly different (P <0.05); diabetic nephropathy and diabetes with fatty liver, cerebrovascular disease and peripheral blood vessels The difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk factors of diabetic nephropathy were diabetic patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with coronary heart disease, hypertension, retinopathy, peripheral neuropathy and cerebrovascular disease. Conclusion Diabetic nephropathy and diabetes mellitus with coronary heart disease, hypertension, retinopathy and peripheral neuropathy may serve as risk factors for each other.
