中国形象是一种跨媒介的文化建构,当代中国以影视为主的视觉文化文本是在国家形象的话语谱系与集体想象的文化语境中建构中国形象的。只有那些在视觉特性上与民众对国家的集体想象相契合的视觉文化文本,才可能成为国家形象的表征。1980年代中国电影中的红高粱形象与1990年代以来的影视作品中的茉莉花形象是当代中国形象的不同表征。红高粱形象以其夸张的视觉张力展示了1980年代冲破困境的中国形象,茉莉花形象则以其精致的异质性展示了1990年代以来初富时期富庶与躁动并存的中国形象。
The image of China is a kind of cross-media cultural construction. The visual culture texts based on film and television in contemporary China construct the image of China in the discourse pedigree of the national image and the cultural context of collective imagination. Only those visual and cultural texts whose visual features fit well with the collective imagination of the nation can become the symbol of the state’s image. The image of red sorghum in Chinese films in the 1980s and the image of jasmine in films and TV works since the 1990s are different representations of contemporary China. With its exaggerated visual tension, the image of red sorghum shows the Chinese image of the dilemma in the 1980s. With its exquisite heterogeneity, the jasmine image shows the image of China that is rich and agitated since the early of the 1990s.
