At the end of 1982, Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. built a plant for the recovery of niobium with special adsorbents. Its production capacity is 10 tons per year. The company developed this sorbent and has a set of expertise to recover chemical semiconductors from bauxite.
