楚共王,是春秋时期有名的君主,其一生有“箴”、“审”二名.关于二名之间的关系,目前学术界的普遍观点是:“箴”、“审”二字,读音相近,一也,皆为楚共王名.征诸史料,该观点值得商榷.楚王践祚后照例有易名的传统,“箴”、“审”二名,应是楚共王在不同历史时期的不同称谓.
