Confucian ethics values harmony and has abundant “and” resources. Its “harmony” has three meanings: “harmony” as the moral character, “neutralization” as the moral noumenon and “Taihe” as the noumenon of the world. The world picture of Confucianism “and” is the scene of “Taihe” where “all things are created and not harmed, while the Tao is parallelized.” The main means by which Confucianism achieved “harmony” was “ceremony”, and its specific requirements were “clear division”, “peaceful division”, “fulfill due responsibility” and “middle festival”. These resources of Confucian “and” ethics still have positive significance to the construction of a harmonious society today.
