Many epidemiological studies have shown that exposure to vinyl chloride monomers at work causes hepatic angiosarcoma. However, there are many arguments about whether vinyl chloride can occur in other types of cancer. To further investigate the relationship between cancer mortality and exposure to vinyl chloride monomer, the authors compared 451 workers exposed to vinyl chloride monomer for more than 5 years to 870 workers exposed to vinyl chloride without exposure to vinyl chloride in the same company, Mortality of working-class workers and the general population A study of the cancer mortality rate for workers in PVC plants in Shawinigan, Canada, by comparing the above mortality rates. The plant from 1943 production of vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride. Because of the plant had coma cases and 10 cases of hepatic angiosarcoma death, speculated that the workshop of vinyl chloride concentration in the air is quite high.
