The shaker is built on the basis of Japan’s energy policy for atomic power generation equipment and is built to verify the safety and reliability of the seismic structure of nuclear power plants. Currently it is the largest biaxial vibration test rig with horizontal and vertical directions in the world. It was developed in December 1976 and completed in July 1982 at the Japan Institute of Atomic Energy Engineering, Tadookai Engineering Laboratory. It is capable of performing quake-proof tests on in-kind or near-physical test pieces of nuclear power generation equipment. The specifications of the shaker, regardless of load weight or excitation force, are larger than the current two-digit vibration test bed worldwide. In terms of performance, can truly reproduce the seismic wave and other goals
