Professor Sun Yat-sen of the Second Department of Surgery at Kurume University invented a method that uses laparoscopy and microwaves to cure liver cancer without open surgery. They used liver cancer patients with a diameter of 3 cm or less to observe the state of liver cancer using laparoscopy.
