骆正在《北京大学学报》1991年第4期发表同题文章,从现代心理学的角度,论述《贵妃醉酒》的艺术魅力。现代心理学发现,人们在产生色觉或听到音乐时的心理活动和态度,大致可分为“生理类”、“性格类”、“联想类”等若干类型。“生理类”是指欣赏者注重自己的身心感受。此类观众欣赏《醉酒》时,主要陶醉于梅兰芳韵味醇厚甜美的嗓音和美的扮相,他们是冲着“角儿”来看戏的。“性格类”的欣赏者,把看到的颜色或听到的声音都认为是直接具有性格的。他们欣赏传统戏曲时能得到很大的满足,因为戏中的角色本身就是有性格的人物。“联想类”观众在欣赏艺术时常常产生联想。《醉酒》的内容是爱情生活中的挫折和借酒浇愁,是生活中常见的事
