1931年3月9日,中国共产党中央机关报《红旗周报》在上海正式创刊,由张闻天担任主编,直到1933年1月离开上海为止。《红旗周报》是张闻天人生中创办的第一份中共党报。它历时3年,于1934年3月1日停刊。其间,共发行正刊64期,附刊13期,初为周报,但经常因印刷厂遭到国民党破坏而不能按期出版,尤其是第58期与第59期之间竟间隔5个月之多。1933年8月31日第59期出版后,《红旗周报》改为半月刊,但仍然不能按期出版,半月刊实际上变成了月刊。开始,《红旗周报》以报纸的形式印刷,从第10期
On March 9, 1931, the “Red Flag Weekly”, the central organ of the Communist Party of China, officially started its publication in Shanghai and was chaired by Zhang Wentian until his departure from Shanghai in January 1933. “Red Flag Weekly” is the first communist party newspaper founded by Zhang Wentian in his life. It lasted for three years and ceased publication on March 1, 1934.
