稻谷小穗轴基部的离层形成的差异是鉴别野生稻、粳稻和籼稻的一个重要特征.对长江下游的跨湖桥、罗家角和田螺山等3处距今7000年以前遗址出土稻的小穗轴特征观察的研究结果显示,3个遗址出土的稻谷遗存所见的小穗轴可分为粳稻型和野生型2种类型,没有发现具有籼稻小穗轴特征的稻谷,表明距今7000年以前的水稻尚处于驯化过程中带有野生习性的原始栽培稻阶段,粳稻是栽培稻的演化方向.根据两种小穗轴比例推测长江下游在距今10000年以前开始稻的驯化.
Differences in the formation of the basement of rice rachilla at the base of the stratum are an important feature in the identification of wild rice, japonica rice and indica rice.
