此次我受韩国策展方之邀,谈谈关于亚洲艺术的今天和未来,这一命题如此之大以致难以表述。我认为个人、特别是艺术家都是十分渺小的,也许美术史学家、理论家们更有能力综合各种资源来融合这样一个庞大的、雄伟的,对于亚洲艺术家而言都极具意义的一个话题。作为个人艺术家,在此我只能聊及自己的个人感受。在许多文化领域中,今天的亚洲总会谈亚洲的问题,就像今天的欧洲也会谈欧洲的问题一样,但亚洲的话题不是孤立存在的,是对应美洲、欧洲和全球的话题。这样的话题在中国常常被提及,因为中国艺术界一直在讨论中国的当代艺术与世界艺术的关系:中国的当代艺术如何被西
This time, I was invited by the curator of Korea to talk about the present and the future of Asian art. This proposition is so difficult to express. I think individuals, especially artists, are very small. Maybe art historians and theorists are more capable of synthesizing various resources to integrate such a large and magnificent topic that is of great significance to Asian artists . As an individual artist, I can only talk about my personal feelings here. In many fields of culture, today’s Asia talks about Asia, just as Europe today talks about Europe. But the topic of Asia is not isolated but corresponds to the Americas, Europe and the world.
