《外婆的日用家当》作为艾丽丝·沃克的经典短篇小说,已有相当丰富的分析和解读,但大多数评论都从文中的隐喻、象征、女性人物形象、文化冲突、妇女主义等角度进行分析,对于黑人女性文化身份及社会身份的寻求方面写的却不多。因此本文试图以《日用家当》为基础,从美国黑人女性的文化及社会身份认同角度出发,对文中的三位黑人女性进行重新解读,从而给出一个相对全面的研究结果,即面对白人及其文化,黑人女性自己如何更好地认同自己文化和社会身份!
