英《内科新闻》第12卷第12期(1979年6月15日)第21页报道旧金山消息:在国际职业性肺疾病会议上,摩根城西弗吉尼亚大学附属医院史密斯(Sharon M.Smith)医生称,至少有二种可鉴别的生物活性物质与Micropolysporafaeni细胞壁的成分有关,而该微生物通常与过敏性肺炎有关。从M.faeni分离出三种细胞壁组分:第一组分是经洗涤的、碎裂的细胞壁。第二组分是用胰蛋白酶和核糖核酸酶消化而获得的。第三组分则是用氯仿和甲醛提取第二组分而获得的。

Smith of the University Hospital of West Virginia, Morgan City, said , At least two identifiable bioactive substances are involved in the composition of the cell wall of Micropolysporafaeni, which is usually associated with allergic pneumonia. Three cell wall components were isolated from M. faeni: the first component was a washed, fragmented cell wall. The second component is obtained by trypsin and ribonuclease digestion. The third component is obtained by extracting the second component with chloroform and formaldehyde.
