以甲基丙烯酸联苯酯和甲基丙烯酸对乙氧基联苯酯为单体,用基团转移聚合的方法,制备了两种无间隔基的侧链型联苯液晶高分子。研究了聚合条件对转化率、分子量、多分散指数的影响。认为单体由于无间隔基造成的较大空间位阻妨碍了转化率的提高。用DSC、热台偏光显微镜、FT-IR、GPC等方法对所得聚合物进行了表征。
Two unbranched side chain biphenyl liquid crystal polymers were prepared by group transfer polymerization using biphenylmethacrylate and p-ethoxybiphenyl methacrylate as monomers. The effects of polymerization conditions on the conversion, molecular weight and polydispersity index were investigated. It is believed that the large steric hindrance of monomers due to the lack of spacers hinders the improvement of the conversion rate. The obtained polymer was characterized by DSC, hot stage polarizing microscope, FT-IR and GPC.
