受中国金属学会的派遣,笔者参加了1999年英国材料学会年会中的钢铁分会。会议于9月20～21日在英国的Belfry召开。与会者除英国的代表外,还有来自中、美、英、法、日等国的代表,共约300人。 这次钢铁分会的年会,开得简单、紧凑。会议只发了论文摘要,开会不仅仅是宣读论文,似乎更着重于对论文所述观点的讨论,气氛活跃。现将会议情况简介于后。 钢铁分会年会的学术交流共分以下六个方面:
Dispatch by the Chinese Society for Metals, the author participated in the 1999 British Institute of Materials Annual Steel Branch. The meeting was held in Belfry, England on September 20 ~ 21. In addition to the representatives of Britain, participants also represented about 300 people from China, the United States, Britain, France, Japan and other countries. The annual meeting of the Steel Branch is simple and compact. The conference only issued a summary of the paper. The conference was not just a paper presentation. It seemed to be more focused on the discussion of the views expressed in the paper, and the atmosphere was very active. The meeting is now briefed on the situation.
