通过对甘肃省森林工业历年的总产值、劳动生产率、资金投入状况、生产条件等诸因素的调查和分析，采用多元统计分析原理，定量分析了技术进步水平的高低对产值的影响，计算出不同年份和不同行业的技术进步贡献率、贡献值，进一步计算技术进步在经济变动中的贡献。测算结果表明：甘肃省森林工业平均技术进步贡献率为８．１５％（１９７１～１９９３年），说明我省森林工业技术进步对实际生产的推动作用和地位，为实施科技兴林的战略决策提供了理论依据
