一谈到聊天，大家可能会条件反射地想到因特网，可能会想到ＩＣＯ或者ＯＩＣＯ，但肯定不会想到在局域网中也能聊天。其实局域网中不仅可以共享软硬件资源，借助于适当的工作软件同样可以方便地进行通讯、聊天以及传递消急。用来在局域网中通讯的软件有很多，Ｗｉｎ ９８就为我们提供了一个小巧精悍的程序ＷｉｎＰｏｐｕｐ，我们可以用它在局域网中相互传递信息。下面，笔者就以Ｗｉｎ９８内置的ＷｉｎＰｏｐｕｐ为例，来实现与在 Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ上类似的聊天功能。
