傅作义(1895-1974),山西临猗县人,著名的抗日爱国将领。抗战中,他指挥并参加了长城抗战、绥远抗战、平型关战役、忻口会战、太原守城等战役。1949年1月,他率部举行北平和平起义,使这座文化古都完好地回归人民,并随后促成了绥远和平起义。新中国成立后,任中央人民政府水利部部长 Fu Zuoyi (1895-1974), Linqu County, Shanxi Province, the famous anti-Japanese patriotic generals. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, he directed and participated in the Great Wall Anti-Japanese War, Suiyuan’s war of resistance, the battle of Pingxingguan, the battle of Xinkou, the battle of Taiyuan defending the city. In January 1949, he led the ministry to hold the peace uprising in Peiping, so that this ancient capital of culture returned to the people well, and subsequently contributed to the pacification of Suiyuan uprising.
