This article focuses on the design of a 196 N (44 pound) receiver. The design allows the receiver to withstand a random vibration of 21g rms (root mean square acceleration). This article describes the methods used to establish design standards, introduces structural analysis techniques, and presents design validation test data for both dynamic and qualification test models.
