INTRODUCTION The shrink packaging method uses a special heat-shrinkable plastic film to wrap items. This is based on the “memory effect” principle of plastics. That is, a plastic film passes through the manufacturing process. Stretching and cooling causes the orientation effect of the molecules to be fixed, and when the plastic film is reheated, it returns to its unstretched volume.
