Since the advent of alpha fetoprotein (AFP) in the 1970s, the detection of serum AFP has become an important basis for the diagnosis of primary liver cancer. However, some patients are always negative (<20μg/L) throughout the course of the disease, and the reason for this is not fully understood. This article analyzed 110 cases of primary liver cancer, including 30 cases of AFP negative, 80 cases of positive, to explore the differences between the two clinical manifestations and pathological changes in order to guide the future diagnosis and treatment.
