临床分离的耐甲氧西林金黄色葡萄球菌(MRSA)对万古霉素的敏感性下降(被称为VISA菌株),已在很多国家被发现。目前认为VISA菌株一般是从MRSA转变而来的,但真正的机制还不清楚。本文作者对病人治疗过程中出现于不同阶段的MRSA特性进行比较,目的在于更好地理解细菌在体内由敏感变为耐药的演化机制。
The clinical isolation of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is less susceptible to vancomycin (known as the VISA strain) and has been found in many countries. It is currently believed that VISA strains are generally transformed from MRSA, but the exact mechanism is not clear. The authors compared the characteristics of MRSA at different stages of patient care in order to better understand the evolution of the bacteria from susceptible to resistant in the body.
